Professional book reviews are often published in journals that concentrate on the discipline of the book's topic. For example, a review of a book with a historical topic might be reviewed in a history journal. There are also journals written for librarians and the publishing industry that provide professional reviews.

For a history class, we recommend searching the database JSTOR for book reviews. Here's a video we created that will show you exactly how to do this (the video has no dialog, so it might be helpful to turn on the captions). If your review isn't in JSTOR, try our database Academic Search Complete.
